It’s about that time for another race. Because you all know how much I love to toe the line.
For the Hot Chocolate, I’ve had to adjust my plans a little. When I initially signed up, my plan was to run the 15k and go fairly hard. That was before signing up for the Illinois Marathon, and my common sense (which doesn’t win out a ton) tells me a 15k two weeks out might not be the best laid plan.
Fortunately, I have some friends running the 5k, so I’m gonna drop down and run with them.
Because of this, I naturally did some stalking of the 5k course. It’ll be a nice river run. For all of my adventures to the Cities over the years, I’ve never spent a ton of quality time on the river (with the exception of the Polar Dash); so it should be fun.
I’m hoping to get up in time for the expo on Friday night, so if you’re planning to be there at closing time, you’ll likely see me frantically running in to grab my bib.
